ABA Therapy

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that helps children learn meaningful skills by breaking them into small, achievable steps — and celebrating each one.

In plain language

ABA looks at how a child learns and what motivates them. A qualified clinician observes, understands what's working, and designs a plan with goals that matter to your child and family.

Sessions are often playful and positive. Skills are practiced in natural moments, and progress is tracked so the plan can be adjusted as your child grows.

Good ABA is individualized, compassionate, and collaborative. It respects your child's dignity, preferences, and pace.

Goals may focus on

  • Communication and expressing needs
  • Independence and daily living skills
  • Play, social, and relationship skills
  • Navigating routines and transitions
  • Caregiver strategies that work at home

Individualized

No two plans are alike. Goals reflect your child's strengths and your family's priorities.

Family-centered

Caregivers are partners. We share strategies so progress carries into everyday life.

Reviewed over time

Progress is measured and plans are revisited regularly by the clinical team.

Is ABA right for my child?

ABA is one option among many, and it isn't the right fit for every child. A clinical assessment, along with conversations with your child's healthcare providers, can help your family decide. We're happy to answer questions with no pressure.
